Traveling to Wilpattu
There are two ways you can reach Wilpattu national park. You can either reach the place by road or take a flight. The main entrance of Wilpattu national park is at Hunuwilgama which is 8km away from the turnoff from Puththalam – Anuradhapura road.
If you love to add a touch of luxury to your adventure, you can take a helicopter from Katunayake Bandaranaike Airport or Rathmalana Airport and reach Wilpattu.
You can buy a ticket at the main entrance at Wilpattu which is open from 6 am to 6 pm.
